Sleep apnea comes with a variety of symptoms that will allow you, with the help of someone observing, determine if you may have the condition. The following are symptoms to look out for:
- Loud Snoring – Though not an absolute way to know if you have sleep apnea, the condition is often accompanied with loud snoring, often found with people who suffer from Obstructive Sleep Apnea. The lack of snoring doesn’t necessarily mean that you do not have the condition, in rare cases sleep apnea can be suffered by people who does not snore at all.
- Gasping for Air – Tell your bedmate to notify you if you show signs of gasping for air, this is a definite sign of the condition.
- Sleepiness or Fatigue During the Day – if for no apparent reason you feel more tired in the day than usually, or you notice that you get tired or sleepy doing things that you used to do without feeling so. You might have sleep apnea, as it often wakes you for brief moments without you noticing.
- Body Movements – The sudden violent jerking of your body is your brain checking if you are still alive, often caused by the lack of oxygen in your blood. If your bedmate observes this, sleep apnea may be the cause.

Maybe, but if the other symptoms are not present probably not; you should still get that fixed though, as snoring can cause other problems, mostly in the relationship front.
